“I call myself a sound painter…”
My musical journey has been diverse. My earliest musical explorations were rooted in Pop, Rock, Jazz & Blues. Born in Los Angeles & by my teens was already hailed as a guitar virtuoso & working in L.A. clubs with original and cover bands. I grew up in a theatrical family, & my sister was always calling on me to create music for her shows. My dramatic instincts have been useful for music in film, TV & theatre projects - & songwriting in the Pop, Rock & Country fields. My extensive musical IQ also made ME a sought-after guitarist, producer & multi instrumentalist.
My spiritual quest that paroled my interest in New Age and World Music scenes. Introduced to TM at 13, and later Buddhism and Yoga. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of working with such New Age & World Music artists as Constance Demby, Jai Uttal (Grammy Nominated), Steven Halpern & Donna De Lory.Clients have included: Al Jewer & Andy Mitran, Grayhawk Gibney, Mark Seelig, New Age Pop artists Kimberly Haynes, Quincy Coleman, Mitzi Schwarz, Stacy Robin, Mary Gospe, & Prem Vidu. Merrill Collins [classical], Kathy Sanborn [jazz] and Copus Multimedia [Hip-Hop] further allow me to explore versatility.
In 2021, I completed “Song Divine The Bhagavad Gita Rock Opera“. The album was released to great acclaim. The following year 2022 saw the long awaited & well praised “Wild Monsoon” with 3x grammy winner Ricky Kej. In 2023 I worked on many projects with such artists as Samir Bodhi, Mariel, Nicole Gilbert, Chakuna Machi Asa, & Stewart Copeland [the Police].
2024 was also a banner year for releasing music. Lissa Coffey and David Vito Gregoli released “We Share The Moon” to acclaim in 2024, a follow up to our album “Song Divine The Bhagavad Gita Rock Opera”. The album paraphrases classic spiritual teachings by Rumi, Hafiz and others. Other collaborations in 2024 included Faith Rumer, Anitra Carr, various singles with Canadian Jim Gelcer (album in 2025), The acoustic fingerstyle guitar album “Kimo Vito” with Jim Kimo West as well as the ambient/newage album “Liquid Planet” with Ricky Kej.
In 2025, in addition to more singles with Anitra Carr, Stacy Robin and others, the New Age album “Quiet Expanse” with Jim Gelcer was well lauded, and the followup album with Jim Kimo West “Travelogue” received an overwhelming response.
In 2026 is singer/songwriter Stacy Robin’s Contemporary Folk album “Where Truth Lies”, Americana/Pop singer Anitra Carr’s album in the fall, an EP with ambient guitarist John Gregorius also in summer, a Kahil Gibran inspired album with Juliet Lyons coming in fall, and collaborations with artists like guitarist Janet Robin covering a Jeff Beck song, shamanic percussionist Byron Metcalf, symphonic guitarist Russ Hewitt, lyricist Lissa Coffey, master percussionist MB Gordy — and more coming.
Whether laying down guitar tracks, composing original music or adding depth & polish to artists I produce, I venture to bring integrity & unique artistry to music that defies pigeon-holes. I have this ability to hear something in everything — I can see ‘round the bend’ when someone plays me an idea. That inspires me in the job of Producer.
